Composition 9/11

Simplicity
This image shows simplicity because it has a mostly clear background that allows your eye to go straight to the man. This is important because it creates a single subject of the photo without any distractions.

Rule of Thirds
This picture shows rule of thirds because the man is standing in one corner of the frame. This creates a more dramatic affect because it makes the scene look larger and more dynamic compared to him.

Lines
This image shows lines because of the tilted remains of what was left of the building. Because they shoot out of the ground like rays, it creates a more dynamic feel to the photo. This creates movement because the lines are all facing different ways.

Balance
This picture shows balance because both sides of the room are equal. Even though the camera is off center, the opposition of the room creates an equality of both sides.

Framing
This picture shows framing because the window borders the man climbing the ladder. Another cool aspect of this photo is how the shadow of the window allows your eye to go straight to the lighter scene in the middle of the window.

Avoiding Mergers
This picture would not be a good example of avoiding mergers because the scene is so crowded with people that most of them are being cut off. This takes away from the subjects of the photo, the four men in front, because the background is too distracting.
